Job summary

Nemours Children's Health in Wilmington, DE is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Advanced Delivery Unit on a rotating shift (60 hours every two weeks). The nurse will implement the patient care delivery model and is accountable for assessing, planning, delivering and evaluating care for assigned patients.

The role emphasizes clinical judgment, collaboration with the care team, advocacy for patients and families, and commitment to evidence-based practice in a supportive, diverse environment.

Qualifications

• Active registered nurse licensure for appropriate state.
• Current AHA Healthcare Provider (HCP) Certification.
• L&D, OR (circulating), triage, & antepartum experience required.
• ASN required, If not already obtained, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) must be achieved within 3 years of date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Independently develops, implements, evaluates, and modifies clinical practice to meet patient and family needs.
• Collects and interprets complex patient data and exercises clinical judgment.
• Coaches new graduates and clinical students.
• Identifies clinical questions and seeks resources to improve patient care.
• Participates in unit-based governance or committees to improve practice.
• Determines and prioritizes patients' nursing care needs and directs delegated tasks.
• Initiates, implements and evaluates standards of care based on patient needs.
• Demonstrates empathy and maintains appropriate boundaries with patients and families.
• Tailors nursing care to age-specific and developmentally appropriate needs.
