Job summary

Nemours Children's Health in Wilmington, DE seeks a Registered Nurse to join our Advanced Delivery Unit on a rotating 24-hour per week schedule. You will provide high-quality maternal-newborn care and mentor new graduates while applying evidence-based practice.

Qualifications

• Active registered nurse licensure for the state of practice.
• AHA Healthcare Provider (HCP) certification current.
• L&D, OR (circulating), triage, and antepartum experience required.
• ASN required; BSN must be completed within 3 years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Independently develops, implements, evaluates, and modifies nursing care for patients and families.
• Collects and interprets complex patient data to guide care decisions.
• Coaches new graduates and clinical students.
• Identifies clinical questions and seeks information to improve patient care.
• Participates in unit-based governance to improve clinical practice.
• Determines and prioritizes patients' nursing care needs and directs delegated care.
• Initiates, implements, and evaluates standards of care based on patient needs.
• Demonstrates empathy and manages care in stressful situations.
• Incorporates cultural differences into patient and family care.
• Advocates for patients and families following the ANA Code of Ethics.
• Collaborates with team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participates in quality improvement and teaching activities.
