Job summary

Affirmed Home Care in Freehold, NJ is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver one-on-one pediatric home care for a medically complex child. You will provide skilled nursing in the home, coordinate with families and the clinical team, and ensure safety and quality of care.

Candidates must hold an active New Jersey RN license, pediatric home care experience preferred, BLS, and be authorized to work in the United States. G-tube experience and ongoing assessments are valued.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license required.
• Pediatric home care experience preferred.
• G-tube experience preferred.
• BLS certification current and active.
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation preferred.
• Physical exam within the last 12 months required.
• PPD or QuantiFERON test within 1 year (or chest X-ray within 5 years).
• Proof of flu vaccine or approved exemption.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled 1:1 pediatric nursing care in the home.
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments.
• Manage and monitor G-tube feedings and medications.
• Assess respiratory status and administer PRN oxygen as ordered.
• Provide airway clearance therapies, including compression vest treatments.
• Monitor for seizure activity and respond as needed.
• Access and monitor chest port per physician orders.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, family, and clinical team.
• Educate caregivers on care plans and goals.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.

Pediatric Case Details

Freehold, NJ

• Pediatric patient diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and ADHD
• Skilled nursing interventions include:
  • G-tube care and feedings
  • Compression vest treatments
  • PRN oxygen administration
  • Chest port monitoring and care
• Requires ongoing assessment, skilled nursing oversight, and close monitoring of changes in condition

What You'll Do

• Provide skilled 1:1 pediatric nursing care in the home

Pay Rate

RN: Up to $45/hr

What You Bring

• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse (RN) License
