Job summary

Affirmed Home Care, Inc. is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to support a medically complex pediatric patient in Freehold, NJ. This position focuses on one-on-one home-based nursing care and close collaboration with the patient’s family and clinical team.

The role requires NJRN license, BLS, and pediatric home care familiarity, with duties including G-tube management, oxygen administration, and port care. Flexible scheduling and strong clinical support are emphasized.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• Pediatric home care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled 1:1 pediatric nursing care in the home.
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments.
• Manage and monitor G-tube feedings and medications.
• Assess respiratory status and administer PRN oxygen as ordered.
• Provide airway clearance therapies, including compression vest treatments.
• Monitor for and respond to seizure activity.
• Access and monitor chest port per physician orders.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, family members, and the clinical team.
• Educate caregivers on care plans and treatment goals.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.

Pediatric Case Details

Freehold, NJ

• Pediatric patient diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and ADHD
• Skilled nursing interventions include:
  • G-tube care and feedings
  • Compression vest treatments
  • PRN oxygen administration
  • Chest port monitoring and care
• Requires ongoing assessment, skilled nursing oversight, and close monitoring of changes in condition

What You'll Do

Pay Rate

RN: Up to $45/hr

What You Bring

• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse (RN) License
• Pediatric home care experience preferred
• G-tube experience preferred
• Current BLS Certification
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
• Physical exam within the last 12 months
• PPD or QuantiFERON within 1 year (or chest X-ray within 5 years)
• Proof of flu vaccine or approved exemption
