Job summary

Baylor College of Medicine is seeking an experienced administrator to manage the daily business operations of the Pediatric Research Division. You will work closely with the Division Chief, affiliates, and Pediatrics Administration to implement process improvements and ensure achievement of financial and HR goals.

The role emphasizes financial oversight (budgets, variances, contracts, grants), collaboration with cross‑divisional partners, and leadership of office staff.

Qualifications

• Four years of relevant experience.
• MBA or MHA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily operations of the Pediatric Research Division.
• Prepares and monitors the Division's annual budgets for BCM and TCH and oversee monthly reconciliation of division financial accounts.
• Manages HR activities related to recruitment, new hires and onboarding, terminations, salary or FTE changes for faculty and staff.
• Oversees approval for financial activities in S4 Hana, travel requests, reimbursements, purchase orders, and other financial requests; manages Division Corporate card for policy adherence and reconciliation.
• Supervises and mentors BCM office staff, directing work activities and performance evaluations.
• Collaborates with Pediatric Research Division PIs, Postdocs, and staff on research program decisions.
• Provides oversight and coordination with CRA on pre- and post-award activities for division research activities.
• Oversees and coordinates special events.
• Implements and enforces BCM and TCH policies through clear communication.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
