Job summary

Intermountain Health in Riverton, Utah is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging exams and collaborate with radiologists and clinicians to deliver high-quality images. You will work within the Pediatric Clinic and InstaCare environments, following protocols and safety guidelines.

The ideal candidate holds ARRT certification, state licensure (where applicable), and a BLS card, with strong patient care and teamwork skills to thrive in a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• ARRT (R) certification required.
• Radiologic technologist license in the practicing state.
• BLS certification for healthcare providers.
• May complete MA Competency Checklist and function as MA in clinic or InstaCare setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintains ARRT or modality-specific competency in all clinical and technical functions.
• Identifies patient, verifies orders, and prepares for exam.
• Performs exams per department protocol and reviews images for quality and accuracy.
• Adheres to radiation safety guidelines and maintains a safe environment.
• Completes studies within acceptable time limits without compromising patient care.
• Assists and instructs students and other Radiology Techs in protocols, positioning, and equipment.
• Provides patient education, ensures patient comfort, and addresses concerns.
• Follows infection control and sterile techniques.
• Operates equipment and information systems to ensure quality images.
• Keeps accurate records of patient information and procedures.
• Follows protocols for medical necessity, coding, charging, consents, QC programs, and reporting equipment failures.
