Job summary

Qualifications

• ARRT(R) certification is required where applicable.
• State radiologic technologist license (if applicable).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers.
• May need to complete MA Competency Checklist and function as MA in a clinic/InstaCare.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ARRT or modality-specific competency in clinical/technical functions.
• Prepare patient identification, order verification, and exam readiness.
• Perform exams per protocol; review images for quality and accuracy.
• Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and maintain a safe environment.
• Complete studies within time limits; assist instructors and other radiology staff.
• Provide patient education, comfort, and address concerns.
• Practice infection control and sterile techniques.
• Operate equipment and related information systems to ensure quality images.
• Keep accurate records of patient information and procedures.
• Follow protocols for medical necessity, coding, charging, consents, QC, and reporting equipment failures.
