Phoenix Children's Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Full-Time Patient Care Technician for inpatient units in Phoenix, AZ.

This role provides age-appropriate developmental and psychosocial supervision, crisis management, and care plan support under the supervision of a Clinical Nurse. The technician collects vital signs, assists with splints and casts, and performs CPR during emergencies, while maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment for patients and families, and supporting daily care activities

Qualifications

• Collects and records routine patient data including vital signs to ensure accuracy of patient chart.
• Performs basic patient care activities to support the care plan under supervision.
• Assists in applying splints, casts and other orthopedic devices and participates in CPR during emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Collects and records vital signs and other routine data under supervision.
• Identifies and reports unusual findings or observations to healthcare professionals.
• Obtains blood specimens by physician order or per protocol; delivers lab specimens as requested.
• Maintains unit environment and stock inventories to support patient care.
• Provides continuous therapeutic care and observation to patients in daily routines and activities.
