Qualifications

• Completion of a course of study leading to a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Patient care experience preferred.
• Work/education totaling 2 years in a behavioral health related field preferred.
• Pediatric experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect and record routine patient data including vital signs and assist in basic care activities.
• Identify and report unusual findings to a healthcare professional for timely intervention.
• Obtain blood specimens by physician order or per protocol and deliver lab specimens as requested.
• Maintain unit environment and inventory levels of stock items, supplies and equipment.
• Provide continuous therapeutic care during meals, school sessions and activities.
• Respond to crises, implement behavior management protocols safely and effectively.
• Educate parents on behavioral techniques and daily living safety.
• Serve as a sitter for 1:1 supervision and ensure a safe environment.
• Create a safe, therapeutic environment and participate in rounds and trainings.
• Perform miscellaneous job related duties as requested.
