Job summary

Children's Specialized Hospital, part of RWJBarnabas Health, is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Primary Care Pediatrician to join a multidisciplinary team in Hamilton, NJ. The role provides comprehensive care for infants through age 21, collaborating with pediatric specialists to deliver coordinated plans focused on the child and family.

Eligible for medical licensure in NJ and DEA registration is required or obtainable.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics.
• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Eligible for medical licensure in the State of New Jersey.
• Current DEA registration or eligibility to obtain.
• BLS and PALS certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
• Strong commitment to providing compassionate, family-centered care for children with special healthcare needs.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and care coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care services, including preventive care, wellness visits, and acute illness management for children with special healthcare needs.
• Coordinate care with pediatric specialists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless, comprehensive treatment.
• Develop individualized care plans that support each patient's medical, developmental, and psychosocial needs.
• Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation in accordance with organizational standards.
• Participate in shared call coverage to ensure continuity of patient care.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, clinical education, and evidence-based practice.
• Foster collaborative relationships with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary care teams.
