Job summary

Children's Specialized Hospital, part of RWJBarnabas Health, seeks a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Primary Care Pediatrician to join our nationally recognized team delivering comprehensive, family-centered care to children with special healthcare needs.

Infants through age 21 receive preventive care, chronic disease management, and coordinated treatment from a multidisciplinary group of pediatric specialists in a collaborative, academic environment within New Jersey's largest integrated

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics.
• Eligible for medical licensure in New Jersey.
• Current DEA registration or eligibility to obtain.
• BLS and PALS certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care services for children with special healthcare needs.
• Coordinate care with pediatric specialists and multidisciplinary teams.
• Develop individualized care plans that support each patient's medical, developmental, and psychosocial needs.
• Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation.
• Participate in shared call coverage to ensure continuity of patient care.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, clinical education, and evidence-based practice.
• Foster collaborative relationships with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary care teams.

Education

Candidate Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics
• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Eligible for medical licensure in the State of New Jersey

NJ Paid Transparency

The anticipated salary range for this position if hired to work is $200,000 to $250,000 per year.

The final salary offer may be determined by several factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and expertise, and availability of department or grant funds to support the position. We also take into consideration market benchmarks, if and when appropriate, and internal equity to ensure fair compensation relative to the university’s broader compensation structure.
