Job summary

Atlantic Health System is seeking a physician to provide primary care for patients, diagnose illnesses, prescribe medications, and advise on lifestyle changes. The role may involve pediatrics or general medicine across multiple settings in northern and central New Jersey.

You will examine patients, order tests, collaborate with nurses and specialists, and participate in patient education. A state license, board certification, and completion of residency are required; knowledge of preventive care

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medicine or related field is required.
• State license and certification to practice medicine is required.
• Residency and internship completed is required.

Responsibilities

• Examines patients, takes medical histories, addresses patient concerns, and answers questions.
• Diagnoses and treats injuries, illnesses, and disorders.
• Orders, performs, and interprets diagnostic tests and explains results to patients.
• Counsels patients on diet, hygiene, preventative healthcare, and lifestyle changes.
• Consults with other physicians, refers patients to specialists when necessary, and collaborates with nurses and staff.
• Explains medical procedures and prescribes medications or therapies.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
