Job summary

Surgery Partners Brand in Texas is seeking a Preop/PACU RN (PRN) to support pediatric patients in an ambulatory surgical center. You will assess, prepare, monitor, and document care across preop, OR, and PACU settings.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, current RN license, CPR, PALS (or ACLS in lieu), minimum one year pediatric perioperative experience, and EPIC familiarity.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing; current state RN License.
• CPR certification required.
• PALS required or ACLS in lieu of PALS.
• Minimum one year of pediatric perioperative care.
• EPIC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assesses pediatric patient status on admission to preop, OR, or PACU.
• Uses the nursing process for assessment, problem identification, and interventions.
• Prepares patients for surgical procedures.
• Administers and documents medications, solutions, and treatments as prescribed.
• Assists physicians with examinations, procedures, or other patient care activities.
• Maintains infection control policies and patient safety.
