Job summary

UNC Health in Chapel Hill, NC is seeking an Experienced RN for the Post-Surgical/Trauma Pediatric Unit on the night shift. The unit handles general surgery, burns, trauma, and more, with a 36-hour work week and weekend rotations.

Completion of nursing school and NC RN licensure with BLS is required. Training is provided to cover pediatric care and surgery-specific education. Benefits are competitive and the onsite role is full-time.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a school of professional nursing is required.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina and BLS certification are required.
• One year of nursing experience is preferred for this role.

Responsibilities

• Education - identifies learning needs and attends relevant programs.
• Evaluation of care - participates with the team to revise the care plan.
• Implementation - provides care for pediatric patients with complex needs.
• Leadership - supports unit goals and communicates effectively.
• Patient assessment - prioritizes needs and plans discharge with families.
