Job summary

Children’s Therapy Center invites a Pediatric Physical Therapist to join the ESIT team serving the Tacoma, WA location. The role focuses on early intervention through family-centered, play-based therapy for children with disabilities, leveraging sensory processing and NDT certification where applicable.

The successful candidate will collaborate with families and a multidisciplinary team to implement IFSPs, provide home/telehealth coaching, and advocate for culturally responsive care.

Qualifications

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited college
• Must have or obtain a PT license in Washington
• CPR and First Aid certification
• Strong communication skills in multiple formats
• Respect and adaptability for diverse perspectives and cultures
• Organized and detail oriented with able time management
• Collaborative team player in ESIT and multidisciplinary settings
• Ability to adapt to cultural, linguistic, and socioeconomic diversity
• Proficient with word processing and MS Word/Outlook

Responsibilities

• Participate as a member of a multidisciplinary ESIT team to conduct screenings and evaluations.
• Educate parents and caregivers on child development across cultures and communities.
• Provide culturally relevant home/telehealth coaching to promote health and development.
• Coach parents to support culturally relevant routines and healthy development.
• Collaborate with families to develop/implement IFSP.
• Build strong relationships with caregivers and ESIT team.
• Attend team meetings, staffing, and peer coaching sessions.
• Incorporate diversity into the daily curriculum and routines.
• Foster warm attachments and supportive caregiver-child interactions.
• Ensure compliance with policy timelines and program processes (IDEA Part B & C).
