Job summary

Children’s Therapy Center is seeking a Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist to support ESIT services for Tacoma area families. The role emphasizes family-centered screenings, evaluations, and ongoing assessments within a multidisciplinary team.

Ideal candidates bring SLP credentials, Washington state licensure, ASHA certification, and CPR/First Aid. The position is onsite, full-time, with competitive pay and a strong commitment to equity and inclusion.

Qualifications

• Degree in speech and hearing sciences or a related field from an accredited college or university.
• Must have or obtain a SLP license in the State of Washington.
• Must have or obtain ASHA Certification.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification, required.
• Strong communication skills across oral, written, visual and non-verbal modes.
• Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary ESIT team.

Responsibilities

• Participate as a member of a multi-disciplinary team to conduct screenings and evaluations.
• Educate parents and caregivers on child development across cultures.
• Provide culturally relevant home/telehealth coaching and support.
• Coach parents to support healthy routines for the child.
• Develop and implement the IFSP with families.
• Build strong relationships with caregivers and ESIT team.
• Participate in team meetings, staffing, in-services and peer coaching.
• Integrate cultural diversity into the daily routine and curriculum.
• Foster warm attachments and interactions between caregivers and children.
• Ensure compliance with IDEA Parts B & C processes and timelines.
