Job summary

Children’s National Hospital in Washington, DC is seeking a Clinical Lab Support Rep to perform patient services and administrative duties within the outpatient phlebotomy and lab operations. You will collect specimens, assist with scheduling, and support registration and insurance verification in a pediatric setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED (Required).
• Minimum Work Experience: 2 years - Related experience in an accredited clinical setting. (Required).

Responsibilities

• Process specimens and coordinate pickup/delivery to labs.
• Greet patients and families, register information, and verify insurance data.
• Answer inquiries by phone and in person, and route questions appropriately.
• Enter tests, order requests, and print reports in the LIS.
• Maintain daily records of equipment and orders; manage inventory.
• Collect blood specimens via venipuncture and basic capillary methods.
