Job summary

6 Degrees Search is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract role in Bloomington, IN and surrounding areas. The position floats to multiple sites, with a schedule of 8am-5pm, Monday to Friday, for an estimated 3 months, with potential for permanency.

Responsibilities include blood draws, specimen labeling, processing, and ensuring specimen integrity while adhering to OSHA/DEP guidelines. Mileage reimbursement is provided.

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state of employment.
• Minimum of 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws, label and process specimens, and log maintenance data.
• Collect and store specimens per established procedures and test orders.
• Explain venipuncture and other specimen collection clearly to patients.
