Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification as required by state.
• Minimum 6 months venipuncture experience in fast-paced lab or hospital.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and data recording.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws, label specimens and centrifuge as required.
• Record maintenance data and decontaminate work areas per procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients and obtain proper specimens.
• Match requisitions to specimen tubes and ensure correct labeling.
• Package specimens for transport and store according to required temperatures.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations and attend annual trainings.
• Answer calls and relay lab results when requested.
