Job summary

Regent Surgical Health's Patches West Surgery Center is seeking a PreOp/PACU RN to deliver comprehensive perioperative care before and after surgery, ensuring patient safety and well-being throughout the perioperative period. You will assess patients, monitor vitals, communicate with surgeons and staff, manage pain, and prepare for discharge, with a focus on pediatric patients.

Qualifications

RN license in appropriate state required.
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
Experience in an ASC setting preferred.
Minimum one year of pediatric nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Evaluate patients’ physical and mental health prior to surgery and prepare for procedures.
Explain surgical procedures and post-operative expectations to patients and families.
Ensure proper surgical site preparation and consent; implement safety protocols.
Perform venipuncture and blood draws as needed.
Communicate with surgeons, anesthesiologists and nursing staff to coordinate care.
Monitor vitals and recovery from anesthesia; manage pain.
Assess readiness for discharge with clear discharge instructions.
