Job summary

CHOP is seeking an experienced pediatric perioperative nurse for a per diem role supporting the Brandywine Surgery Center in Glen Mills, PA. The role covers pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care for pediatric patients, with emphasis on evidence-based practice and patient safety.

Requires at least two years PACU experience; pediatric PACU preferred. The nurse will demonstrate leadership, participate in governance, and contribute to cost-effective patient care.

Qualifications

• PACU nursing experience required
• Peds PACU experience preferred
• Strong computer and information-management skills used in clinical settings
• Competence in safety and pre/post-operative nursing care for pediatric patients
• Ability to participate in governance and evidence-based practice

Responsibilities

• Perform pediatric perioperative nursing in pre-, intra-, and post-operative phases
• Adhere to state Nurse Practice Act and professional standards
• Participate in unit governance and leadership activities
• Maintain competency in point-of-care testing and healthcare informatics
