Job summary

MD Anderson Cancer Center's Pediatrics - Child & Adolescent Center in Houston is seeking a Patient Services Coordinator to coordinate appointments, support clinic flow, and serve as a key contact for patients, families, physicians, and the healthcare team.

The role is onsite Monday–Friday, 9:30 a.m.–6:00 p.m., with a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth within a leading cancer center.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three years of relevant work experience.
• Strong customer service and organizational skills.
• Comfortable working with children and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Must pass pre-employment skills test as required by Human Resources.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and coordinate physician orders to schedule diagnostic tests, procedures, treatments and appointments.
• Convey appointment information clearly in person, by telephone, or in writing, including preparations for ancillary appointments.
• Manage and facilitate the patient scheduling process to maintain clinic efficiency and patient care standards.
• Receive calls from internal/external customers and direct them appropriately with courtesy.
• Maintain patient information security and confidentiality at all times.
