Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to deliver direct patient care under the supervision of our clinical team. You will assist with personal care, mobility, feeding, vital signs, and documentation, while maintaining a therapeutic environment and preparing patients for procedures or transport.

You will work closely with the nursing staff to ensure smooth admissions, discharges, and transfers.

Qualifications

• Completion of nursing assistant program, or EMT program, or completion of first block of nursing program.
• Emergency Medical Technician: AZ or
• Certified Nursing Assistant: AZ
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)

Responsibilities

• Assists the nurse/physician during examinations, treatments and procedures as requested
• Retrieves and prepares necessary equipment and supplies
• Prepares patients for transportation to other departments/areas, or wheelchair
• Assists with patient admission, discharge and transfer
• Obtains vital signs/specimens as directed and orients patient to room
• Assists staff/patient with discharge preparations
