Job summary

Community Health Systems, Inc. is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support nursing staff in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care under RN/LPN supervision in an acute care setting.

The role includes assisting with activities of daily living, collecting vital signs, documenting data, and maintaining a clean, safe environment while following infection control and PPE protocols. 0-2 years of acute care experience or current nursing student enrollment is preferred; BCLS within 90

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in an acute care setting or currently enrolled in a Nursing program preferred.
• BCLS certification within 90 days of hire is required.
• CPCT or CNA certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff with delegated basic patient care and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Record patient data including vital signs, intake/output, and report findings to RN/LPN.
• Support patients with meals, bathing, grooming, linen changes, and mobility.
• Collect urine/stool samples and monitor blood glucose as directed.
• Communicate patient information to the care team and comply with PPE protocols
