Job summary

Nemours is seeking a Patient Access Specialist I (PART-TIME) to join our team in Orlando, Florida. The role provides registration support, verifies benefits, determines financial responsibility, and collects patient balances at the point of service.

Responsibilities include updating demographics, ensuring HIPAA compliance, handling multiple workqueues, and cross-covering registration tasks to support Patient Financial Services. Travel to other locations is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Healthcare experience and customer service experience preferred.
• Medical Office/Call Center.
• Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule.
• Travel to other locations required.

Responsibilities

• Provide exemplary service in accordance with Nemours Standards of Behaviors and perform registration functions accurately.
• Verify and update demographics, insurance information, PCP/referral physician, and pharmacy as needed.
• Explain forms and collect patient responsibility or outstanding balances at the point of service.
• Maintain HIPAA privacy and discuss patient information only as needed.
• Cross-train to support the Patient Financial Services department.
• Adhere to regulatory and Nemours policies and participate in required trainings.
