Children’s National Hospital is seeking a Patient Access Representative to warmly greet families and accurately register patients. You will verify insurance, support scheduling, and ensure care begins smoothly.

The role requires strong customer service, attention to detail, and organization in a mission-driven pediatric care environment. This hands-on position reports to the Patient Access Supervisor or Manager and may float to ancillary areas to cover staffing needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years related experience required.
• Broad knowledge in administrative processes and customer service.
• Microsoft Office experience preferred (Word & Excel).
• Ability to type minimum 35 words per minute.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and families, assist with registration and scheduling.
• Verify demographic and insurance information for accuracy.
• Assist with collecting co-pays and payments as needed.
• Provide courteous, professional front-desk support and phone coverage.
• Support department with general office tasks and documentation.
