Job summary

Phoenix Children's Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Patient Access Representative to perform efficient and orderly patient registration. You will collect co-pays, verify demographics, and act as the primary liaison for patients receiving hospital services in Phoenix.

The role requires strong communication, knowledge of medical terminology, and the ability to navigate EMR/HIS systems. PRN position with daily shifts and potential travel between sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1 year of related office or retail experience with direct customer contact is required.
• EMR experience is preferred.
• AMPFM, Misys, or HIS experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register patients efficiently and collect co-pays and deductibles.
• Obtain signatures and verify demographic information at registration.
• Document data accurately in HIS and account notes.
• Answer phones courteously and resolve inquiries promptly.
• Refer uninsured/underinsured patients to the Financial Counselor.
• Coordinate with insurance and clinical staff to ensure smooth registration.
