Job summary

Dell Children's Medical Center seeks a Pediatric Palliative Care Physician to join an interdisciplinary team dedicated to compassionate care for children with serious illnesses. You will collaborate across inpatient, outpatient, and home settings and teach medical students and residents through our partnership with Dell Medical School.

Lead perinatal palliative care initiatives and provide at-home call coverage as part of a mission-driven Ascension program serving central Texas families.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Texas Medical Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
• BE/BC Pediatric Hospice and Palliative Care Medicine required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive palliative and hospice care across inpatient, outpatient, and home-based settings.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to provide clinical and emotional support to families.
• Teach and mentor medical students, pediatric residents, and adult palliative care fellows.
• Champion perinatal palliative care and pediatric hospice initiatives.
• Provide leadership for Dell Children's at Home perinatal pediatric hospice and palliative care program.
• Call coverage is 1 in 3 at home call.

Education

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required

BE/BC Pediatric Hospice and Palliative Care Medicine required
