Children’s National Hospital in Washington, DC, seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). You will provide comprehensive patient care, manage airway postoperatively, and collaborate with the care team to ensure safety and timely recovery.

Requirements include a BSN, at least 2 years PACU or equivalent critical care experience, DC RN license, CPR and PALS. CPAN preferred. This is a full-time, on-site role with a competitive pay range.

Formación

• BSN from an approved nursing program.
• Two years PACU or related critical care experience.
• DC Registered Nurse license (required).
• CPR and PALS certifications required.
• CPN or CPAN preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate airway postoperatively and manage emergence.
• Perform IPPV as needed and monitor cardiopulmonary status.
• Provide timely pain management and comfort measures.
• Collaborate with anesthesia and surgical teams for care plans.
• Ensure accurate documentation and patient safety.
