Job summary

Children’s Mercy is seeking a PACU-staff nurse to provide specialized care for patients undergoing Level 0 to 4 surgical procedures in the hospital setting. You will prepare, monitor, and manage patients and the perianesthesia environment to promote safety and optimize outcomes.

The position requires ADN with licensure in MO; BSN preferred for hires after Sept 1, 2013, and multi-state licenses are considered. Immunization records and adherence to vaccination policy are required.

Qualifications

• ADN required; BSN preferred for some hires within 5 years of hire.
• MO/National RN licenses required upon hire; multi-state license options accepted.
• Life Support Certifications required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care for Level 0–4 procedures.
• Meet educational and informational needs of patient and family; advocate for their needs.
• Maintain a safe, family-centered perioperative environment.
• Utilize current research to improve nursing care quality.

Education

Associate's Degree ADN

Bachelor's Degree Preferred

Licensed RN - MO

Registered Nurse Multistate License Missouri

RN Compact license for all states besides KS and MO
