Job summary

Cortica seeks an Occupational Therapist to join a multi-disciplinary team focused on neurodevelopmental differences in children. You will assess, diagnose, and treat sensory integration, motor and feeding issues within Cortica's Whole Child Approach, both in clinic and via telehealth.

You will work with families to understand values and goals, participate in transdisciplinary rounds, and educate on strategies to generalize gains across settings.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted OTA license in state of practice.
• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
• First aid/CPR training.
• TB clearance.
• Safety training within first 90 days of employment.
• Ability to obtain licensure in other Cortica states as needed.
• Appreciation for a wide range of therapeutic approaches.
• Passion for working with children.
• Prefer knowledge of HIPAA regulations to safeguard patient information.

Responsibilities

• Establish OT treatment goals using assessments aligned with Cortica's Whole Child Approach.
• Collaborate with transdisciplinary team to create integrated treatment plans.
• Provide individual, group, and co-treat therapy sessions within scope.
• Contribute to autism diagnostic process with clinical insights and standardized assessments (e.g., ADOS).
• Deliver therapy in-person and via telehealth as appropriate.
• Complete documentation within designated time frames.
• Use play- and goal-based neurodiversity affirming interventions.
• Lead child-led activities to reach individualized goals.
• Apply transdisciplinary care strategies to support daily living occupations.
• Collaborate with families to understand values, interests, and goals.
• Address sensory, motor, cognitive, communication, recreation, and social domains in programs.
• Educate patients, families, and staff on strategies and generalization activities.
