Job summary

Cortica seeks a part-time Occupational Therapist to join our Marin County center. You will assess and treat sensory integration, sensorimotor, motor, feeding and developmental disorders in children, applying Cortica’s Whole Child Approach.

Telehealth and in-clinic sessions are possible, with a focus on family collaboration and holistic outcomes. You’ll work with a transdisciplinary team, contribute to the autism diagnostic process, and document in our EMR system.

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted OT license in state of practice.
• Master’s degree in related field.
• First aid/CPR training.
• TB clearance.
• Safety training within 90 days of employment.
• Ability to obtain licensure in other Cortica states as needed.
• Appreciation for a wide range of therapeutic approaches.
• Passion for working with children.
• Prefer HIPAA knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Establish OT goals through assessment aligned with Cortica’s Whole Child Approach.
• Collaborate with transdisciplinary team to create treatment plans.
• Provide individual and group therapy sessions; telehealth when appropriate.
• Contribute to autism diagnostic process with standardized assessments.
• Document accurately within Cortica timelines.
• Offer neurodiversity affirming, play- and goal-based interventions.
• Facilitate functional, child-led activities targeting goals.
• Use transdisciplinary care strategies to support daily living occupations.
• Engage families to understand values, interests and goals.
• Educate families and caregivers on strategies for generalization.
• Attend rounds, meetings and trainings as required.
• Follow Cortica crisis procedures and safety protocols.
• Utilize EMR and MS Office for documentation and reporting.
