Job summary

KidsCare Home Health in Florida is hiring a Pediatric Occupational Therapist to provide in-home therapy to children with special needs. You will assess, treat, and coach families to promote independence and safe participation in daily activities.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy required.
• Current state professional licensure required.
• Valid driver license required.
• CPR certification required.
• Pediatric clinical experience preferred.
• Home health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Examine, evaluate, and administer pediatric OT treatments.
• Direct patient and caregiver in tasks to improve function.
• Coordinate care with office staff and other disciplines.
• Maintain communication with patient and family about progress.
• Refer patients to appropriate services.
• Consult with physician on progress and maintains records.
• Maintain supplies and equipment.
• Present at internal and external education functions.
• Participate in QA and Performance Improvement programs.
• Attend Continuing Education activities and expand scope of service.
• Maintain adequate caseload and productivity.
• Collaborate with others through knowledge and skills sharing.
• Mentor students and new hires.
• Participate in professional organizations and activities.
• Demonstrate initiative and independent judgment in performing duties.
• Serve as backup service provider for other caseloads.
• Comply with company policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
