Job summary

KidsCare Home Health is seeking a Pediatric Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat children in their homes, coordinating with families and caregivers to promote functional development.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy is required.
• Current state licensure is required.
• Valid driver license is required.
• CPR certification is required.
• Pediatric clinical experience is preferred.
• Home health experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, organize, and conduct occupational therapy for pediatric patients in the home health setting.
• Direct the patient and caregiver in tasks to restore, reinforce and/or enhance performance.
• Coordinate patient care with office staff and other disciplines.
• Maintain communication with patient and family regarding progress and home programs.
• Refer patients to appropriate services including other professionals and agencies.
• Consult with physician on patient progress and maintain records.
• Maintain supplies and equipment.
• Participate in mentoring of students and new hires.
• Demonstrate initiative and independent judgment in performing duties.
