Job summary

Shriners Children’s is seeking a Cast Technician to assist physicians and clinical staff in the application, maintenance, and removal of casts, splints, traction, and other orthopedic devices. This role may perform limited patient assessments, contribute to documentation, assist in clinic flow and patient education, and function as a Medical Assistant depending on departmental needs and qualifications.

The pay range for this position is $30.64 - $43.26/hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Orthopedic Technician experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct and indirect patient care within the scope of Orthopedic Technician practice.
• Performs casting, traction and Ilizarov services under supervision of an Attending Orthopedic Surgeon.
• Communicates with patients/families and team to ensure effective therapeutic intervention.
