Job summary

Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago seeks an Orthopedic Cast Technician to assist in applying and removing casts and splints at the Lincoln Park Outpatient Center, with potential travel to satellite locations in Northbrook, Schaumburg, Westchester, New Lenox, and downtown Chicago.

The role requires a high school diploma, BLS certification, and preferred two years in a hospital cast room or orthopedic office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; two years college/tech preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• NBC Orthopaedic Technologists certification preferred.
• Two years of hospital cast room or orthopedic office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in applying and removing casts and splints.
• Order and maintain orthopedic supplies and equipment.
• Maintain inventory and par levels for clinic supplies.
• Process orthopaedic apparatus orders from vendors.
