Job summary

Akron Children's is seeking an Oral Surgeon to join our team, providing comprehensive oral surgical care to pediatric patients. The role involves working with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality outcomes and participating in education and research initiatives within the hospital.

Responsibilities include performing extractions, corrective jaw procedures, implant placement, and collaboration with pediatric dentists, orthodontists, and other specialists; plus pre/post-operative care,

Qualifications

• DDS or DMD from an accredited dental school.
• ABOMS board certification.
• Ohio dental license or ability to obtain licensure in Ohio.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of pediatric oral surgical procedures, including extractions, corrective jaw surgery, and implant placement.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative care, including evaluation and follow-up.
• Collaborate with pediatric dentists, orthodontists, otolaryngologists, and other specialists to develop treatment plans.
• Contribute to education and research initiatives within the hospital, including lectures and mentorship.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient encounters and outcomes in EMR systems.
