Job summary

Akron Children's is seeking an Oral Surgeon to join our team to provide comprehensive pediatric oral surgical care. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care and participate in education and research initiatives within the hospital.

Qualifications

• DDS or DMD from an accredited dental school.
• Certificate of completion from an accredited oral and maxillofacial surgery residency program.
• ABOMS board certification.
• Valid state dental license and ability to obtain Ohio medical licensure.
• Excellent clinical skills and knowledge of current oral surgical techniques in pediatric care.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for multidisciplinary collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of pediatric oral surgical procedures (extractions, corrective jaw surgery, implants, pathology).
• Collaborate with pediatric dentists, orthodontists, otolaryngologists, and surgeons to develop treatment plans.
• Provide pre- and post-operative care, patient evaluation, and follow-up.
• Engage in education and training of residents and students; participate in research and scholarly activities.
