Job summary

Akron Children's seeks a Pediatric Oral Surgeon to deliver comprehensive oral surgical care to pediatric patients. The role works with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality outcomes and participates in education, research, and scholarly activities.

The incumbent will engage in a broad range of procedures, contribute to resident training and clinical research, and maintain meticulous documentation in EMR while upholding patient safety and evidence-based practices.

Qualifications

• DDS or DMD from an accredited dental school.
• Residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery with board eligibility/certification.
• ABOMS-board certification required.
• Active Ohio dental license or ability to obtain medical licensure in Ohio.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of pediatric oral surgical procedures.
• Collaborate with pediatric dentists, orthodontists, otolaryngologists, plastic surgeons, and other specialists.
• Provide pre- and post-operative care and follow-up.
• Participate in education and research initiatives, lectures, and demonstrations.
• Document encounters and treatment plans accurately in EMR.
