Job summary

Akron Children's in Akron, OH seeks an Oral Surgeon to deliver comprehensive pediatric oral surgical care within a multidisciplinary team. You will participate in education, research, and patient-centered care while collaborating with dentists, orthodontists, ENT, and plastic surgeons to develop comprehensive treatment plans.

Responsibilities include pre/post-operative evaluation, hospital rounds, and mentorship of residents.

Qualifications

• DDS or DMD from an accredited dental school and OMFS residency certificate.
• ABOMS board certification and dental licensure eligibility in Ohio.
• Strong clinical skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary pediatric team.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive pediatric oral surgical procedures, including extractions and corrective jaw surgery.
• Collaborate with pediatric dentists, orthodontists, ENT, and plastics for treatment planning.
• Provide pre- and post-operative care, participate in rounds and education of trainees.
• Engage in scholarly activities, research, and presentations to advance pediatric oral surgery.
• Maintain accurate documentation in electronic medical records and adhere to policies.
