Job summary

Akron Children's is seeking an Oral Surgeon to provide comprehensive oral surgical care to pediatric patients. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and participate in education and research initiatives within the hospital, contributing to patient safety and high-quality care.

The role includes pre- and post-operative care, rounds, and mentoring dental residents and medical students in a child-centered environment.

Qualifications

• DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school.
• Residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery from an accredited program.
• Board certification by ABOMS.
• Valid state dental license and ability to obtain Ohio medical licensure.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of pediatric oral surgical procedures.
• Collaborate with dentists, orthodontists, otolaryngologists and other specialists.
• Provide pre- and post-operative care and follow-up.
• Participate in education and research initiatives.
• Contribute to resident and student training.
• Document patient encounters and outcomes in EMR.
