Job summary

Children's National Hospital is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join the operating room team. The role supports pediatric surgical care by scrubbing for procedures, preparing the sterile field, and assisting the surgeon under RN oversight.

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, completion of a surgical technologist program, CPR certification, and preferably CST. Prior sterile processing experience is a plus, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and patient safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (Required).
• Graduate of a surgical technologist program or OR training program (Required).
• Surgical Technologist experience (Preferred).
• Sterile Processing experience (Preferred).
• CPR (Required).
• CST (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Scrub for routine and complex procedures and prepare the OR.
• Assist surgeon and team, maintaining aseptic technique.
• Prepare operating room, instruments, and supplies for procedures.
• Collaborate with RN and physicians to develop patient care plans.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant surgical environment.
