Job summary

Children’s National Hospital in Washington, DC seeks an experienced Surgical Technologist to join the operating room team. The role collaborates with RNs and physicians to prepare the sterile field, assist the surgeon, and ensure patient safety throughout perioperative care.

This position requires a high school diploma or GED and completion of a surgical technologist or OR training program. CPR is required, CST preferred, with a mid-shift schedule and weekend/holiday rotation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a surgical technologist program or OR training program required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the operating surgeon and team during procedures.
• Prepare OR and sterile field and supplies for cases.
• Maintain patient safety and professionalism in practice.
• Collaborate with RN and physicians to develop a plan of care for each patient.
