Job summary

Yale New Haven Health seeks a Children's Procedural Supply Coordinator to manage medical/surgical supplies across CH procedural locations. Responsibilities include inventory control, ordering, receiving, stocking, and processing charges, while maintaining accurate records in Lawson and related systems.

You will coordinate emergency procurement, support cost containment initiatives, and ensure environment of care compliance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; college preferred.
• Minimum 3 years experience with medical/surgical supplies in procedural environment.
• Experience with purchasing, accounts payable, and patient billing preferred.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel and Lawson; supply systems knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Daily inventories, orders, and receives shelf supplies in storerooms; collaborates with CH procedural leaders.
• Orders supplies for Storeroom to maintain stock levels based on par levels or systems.
• Uses PDAD and reports to establish, review and adjust par changes to cut costs.
• Provides customer service to CH procedural staff and coordinates routine and emergency procurement.
• Contacts vendors to coordinate timely procurement of emergency supplies not routinely stocked.
• Assists with securing and monitoring equipment and verifying access controls.
• Ensures environment of care by removing expired products and keeping areas clean.
• Verifies vendor appointments and paperwork for appropriate access to OR areas.
• Works in cross-functional teams to resolve supply maintenance issues and vendor relations.
