Wise Medical Staffing is seeking an experienced OR RN for a pediatric acute care hospital in Dayton, Ohio. This PRN role focuses on pediatric perioperative nursing, with emphasis on patient safety and surgical care in the OR.

Ideal candidates bring OR experience in pediatrics, a BSN (or progress toward) and active Ohio RN licensure, plus BLS/ACLS (PALS preferred). Competitive pay, flexible scheduling, and W2 employment are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-year RN experience in OR (Peds).
• Ohio RN license required.
• BSN degree required or in progress.
• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Must have American Heart Association certification.
• Current BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required.
• PALS certification preferred.
• Ability to pass background screening and onboarding requirements.
• CNOR highly preferred.
• Prior pediatric acute care, plastic reconstructive surgery and laser experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• The OR Registered Nurse provides nursing care to our pediatric patients within the operating room, performs assessments and interventions designed to keep the patients safe during surgery.
• Assists the physician in accomplishing the plan of care for the patient and provides continuity between the patient care unit and the Operating Room.
