Job summary

Wise Medical Staffing is seeking an experienced OR nurse (RN) to support pediatric patients in a dedicated pediatric acute care hospital in Dayton, Ohio. This PRN opportunity offers flexible scheduling and a focus on high-quality perioperative care.

The candidate will perform pre- and intra-operative nursing duties, assist surgeons, and ensure smooth coordination between units. Required: OH RN license, BSN in progress or degree, BLS and ACLS, and 2+ years in OR (Peds). CNOR is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-year RN experience in OR (Peds)
• Ohio RN License required
• BSN degree required or in progress
• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• PALS certification preferred
• CNOR highly preferred
• Pediatric acute care, plastic reconstructive surgery and laser experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• The OR Registered Nurse provides nursing care to pediatric patients in the operating room and performs assessments and interventions to keep patients safe during surgery.
• Assists the physician in accomplishing the plan of care and provides continuity between the patient care unit and the Operating Room.
