Job summary

Wise Medical Staffing is seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) for OR for a pediatric acute care hospital in Dayton, Ohio. This PRN opportunity allows nurses to apply for their passion in nursing and being in the OR.

Candidates with OR experience are strongly encouraged to apply. The OR RN will provide pediatric perioperative care, perform assessments, and support safe surgery, with emphasis on continuity between the patient care unit and the OR.

Qualifications

• Must have minimum 2 years RN experience in OR (Peds).
• Active Ohio RN license required.
• BSN degree required or in progress.
• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills.
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification required.
• PALS certification preferred.
• CNOR highly preferred.
• Prior pediatric acute care, plastic reconstructive surgery and laser experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to pediatric patients in the operating room and perform assessments to ensure safety during surgery.
• Assist the physician in implementing the plan of care and maintain continuity between the unit and the OR.
