Job summary

Abbott is seeking a Pediatric Office Sales Specialist to promote Abbott Pediatric Nutritional products in Southern MA or Providence, RI. The role covers hospital and office settings, requires daily travel and a company car.

You'll build territory sales, negotiate with hospitals, and deliver product knowledge and clinical data to Dietitians, Physicians and Nurses. Bachelor’s degree and healthcare sales experience are required, with pediatrics knowledge a plus.

• New product launches.
• Understand hospital department hierarchies and work with Dietitians, Physicians and Nurses.
• Manage budgets and administer territory independently.

Territory

Our location in Southern MA or Providence, RI has an opportunity for a Pediatric Office Sales Specialist . This position is responsible for the promotion, management and growth of Abbott Pediatric Nutritional products in office settings.

• The ideal candidate should reside in Southern MA or Providence, RI
• This territory covers Southern Massachusetts and Rhode Island
• This position does not offer relocation. Local candidates only, please
• Daily travel 8a-5p required for effective territory management
• Company car provided

What You'll Do

Specific responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Developing and supporting territory sales goals in each hospital and office settings for Similac and PediaSure.
• Hospital negotiations and contracting.
• Comprehensive knowledge of all products, clinical studies, protocols and guidelines as well as the ability to deliver the information in a selling environment.
• New product launches.
• An understanding of the hierarchy of hospital departments such as NICU, Pediatrics, Pharmacies, Purchasing, PICU, Nurseries and Nursing units. The ability to work effectively with Dietitians, Physicians and Nurses.
• Effective administrative skills.
• Budget management.
• Ability to function independently with a high degree of initiative, independence, and autonomy.
• Desire to be self- motivated, seeking out success at achieving both short- and long-term goals.

Education and Experience You'll Bring

• Bachelor's degree required.
• The ideal candidate will be individuals with 2+ years of healthcare sales experience combined with clinical experience (Registered Dietitians and Registered Nurses).
• Stability and proven success in sales
• Subject matter expert and high business acumen
• Knowledge of hospital settings, specifically within pediatrics a plus.

The base pay for this position is $61,300.00 - $122,700.00
