Job summary

Pediatric Associates is seeking a part-time outpatient nurse practitioner or physician assistant to join our Sunrise, FL practice. This schedule starts later in the day and supports work-life balance.

Join a small group of three pediatricians and one advanced practice clinician. Applicants must have at least two years of pediatric experience and hold or be eligible for Florida licensure; NCCPA for PAs or ANCC/PNCB for NPs, plus BLS and a DEA license.

Qualifications

• Two years of general pediatric experience as NP/PA.
• Florida license or eligibility required.
• NCCPA/ANCC/PNCB certification as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide pediatric primary care within a small physician group.
• Document patient encounters in EMR (eClinical Works) with AI charting.
• Collaborate with pediatricians and other staff to coordinate care.
• Maintain licensure and board certification as required.

Position Overview:

• Part-timeposition
  • Monday:8am-7pm
  • Tuesday-Friday: 1:30pm-5pm
  • 2 Saturdays every 4 weeks from 8am-noon

Experience:

• 2 years of general pediatric experience as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant is required

Education, Licensure & Certification:

• Successful completion of an Accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program
• Physician Assistants must have passed the NCCPA certification exam
• Nurse Practitioners graduating after July 1, 2006, must be board certified
• Nurse Practitioners must be certified by the ANCC or PNCB
• Current, Unrestricted license to practice medicine or the ability to obtain in the State of Florida
• Current, Unrestricted DEA license or the ability to obtain in the State ofFlorida
• Meets all requirements to obtain medical staff membership and privileges as required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required
