Job summary

Pediatric Associates seeks a Full-time Outpatient Pediatric Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our Sebring and Lake Placid, FL practice. 100% outpatient with a weekday schedule and no night call, leveraging telemedicine for after-hours coverage.

EMR is eClinicalWorks; NHSC-eligible site with robust benefits. Requirements include 2 years of pediatric NP/PA experience, completion of an accredited NP/PA program, Florida license, DEA, and BLS.

Qualifications

  • 2 years of general pediatric experience as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant is required.
  • Successful completion of an Accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program.
  • PA must have NCCPA certification; NP must be ANCC/PNCB.
  • Current, Unrestricted license to practice in Florida.
  • Current, Unrestricted DEA license or ability to obtain in Florida.
  • BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide outpatient pediatric care as NP/PA.
  • Collaborate with board-certified pediatricians.
  • No night call; telemedicine coverage after hours.
  • Maintain EMR using eClinicalWorks.
  • Support NHSC loan repayment eligibility.
  • Participate in credentialing and licensure maintenance.

Experience:

  • 2 years of general pediatric experience as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant is required

Education, Licensure & Certification:

  • Successful completion of an Accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program
  • Physician Assistants must have passed the NCCPA certification exam
  • Nurse Practitioners graduating after July 1, 2006, must be board certified
  • Nurse Practitioners must be certified by the ANCC or PNCB
  • Current, Unrestricted license to practice medicine or the ability to obtain in the State of Florida
  • Current, Unrestricted DEA license or the ability to obtain in the State ofFlorida
  • Meets all requirements to obtain medical staff membership and privileges as required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required
